Dr Shafqat Hameed received his PhD in the area of Technology-Enhanced Learning Platforms from the University of Bradford, UK. Dr Hameed’s PhD work contributed much insight to the pedagogic debate on the relative merits of emerging open and blended course models and formative-adaptive teaching and learning strategies.
He has successfully directed various elements of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes as well as played a leading role in developing a number of research and academic areas.
Currently Dr Hameed holds the position of Head of the Engineering Management Department at the College of E & M E, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan.
Before joining NUST he served as the Head of Department of Management Sciences at Bahria University, Islamabad, Pakistan where he managed MBA, MPhil and PhD programmes and was responsible for driving through a number of changes to streamline the research support processes and faculty training programmes.
Previously Shafqat was a faculty member at the University of Wales, Newport, UK and at the University of Northampton and contributed to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels Business Information Systems, and, Project Management.
Shafqat has a multi-disciplinary academic and industrial research experience involving the fields of Project Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, System Modelling, E-learning, Enterprise Application Integration, Financial Management, and Knowledge Management. He is a member of the Association of Project Managers (APM), British Computer Society (BCS) and IT Service Management Forum (ITSMF).
He has had invited presentations as research seminar presenter and expert panel leader/co-organiser at many centres of excellence at major universities. He is programme and editorial committee member of several ICT and Knowledge Management Journals and research conferences including, for example, International Journal of Value Chain Management, International Journal of Enterprise Information Management. He has over 50 publications to-date including ISI Indexed, impact factor refereed journal publications, and, refereed specialist research conferences publications.
