Dr. Anna Sadowska is Regional Manager for Central and Eastern Europe at the European Institute of Interdisciplinary Research (EIIR), Paris, France. In this capacity Anna is responsible for the conduct of EIIR collaborative projects in Central and Eastern Europe, including establishing a contact base with local and regional governments and public authorities, universities and research institutes as well as business partners.   Anna also actively participates and contributes to R&D projects at EIIR funded by organisations such as the European Commission, the OECD, and national and regional governments across the EU.

Prior to joining EIIR, Dr Sadowska cooperated with leading Polish and international IT and consulting companies, such as Asecco Poland SA, KPMG, Signity SA, and Fujitsu Siemens. In these professional activities she specialised in project coordination, business process analysis, implementation and optimisation of leading e-business solutions, and the incorporation of technological options into business development strategy in leading organisations in Poland.

In parallel to the above responsibilities, Dr Sadowska has served on various EC External Expert Panels for project reviews and proposal evaluations.  In this capacity she has served on the project Evaluation Panels and, R&D Proposal Review Panels for the European Commission Information Society Technologies (IST) and Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP).   Dr. Sadowska is currently also a member of the Open Innovation Strategy and Policy Group of the EC – An Industrial body dedicated to supporting and the development of the policy framework to implement the concept of Open Innovation across Europe.

Dr Sadowska holds an MA in Econometrics and Information Technologies Science and a PhD in Economics from the University of Lodz, Poland.  Her research activities have concentrated on the economic, technological and organisational conditions that have enabled the implementation of business process management models to improve the effectiveness of collaboration in business networks in the private and public sectors. Her main concerns in this area are innovation networks, clusters, benefits and limits of introducing innovation across Europe.
