Fabíola Maffra completed her studies in Computer Engineering in 2006 at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Brazil. After her graduation she completed a master in Computer Vision also in PUC-Rio. Since her undergraduate studies she has been working with computer graphics and computer vision. Before joining the ISR in October 2013 she was working at the Tecgraf in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as researcher, developer and team leader (ScrumMaster) on the development of an application for the visualisation and interpretation of seismic data for Petrobras (the biggest Brazilian Oil Company). Her areas of interest include Computer Graphics, Image Processing, Optimization Algorithms, Computer Vision and Software Engineering. Her current research involves big data and databases.
